Ryder Cup

We partnered with the Ryder Cup to unlock new audiences for this prestigious golf event ahead of the 2023 encounter between Europe and the United States at the Marco Simone course in Rome.

THE ACTIVATION

WHEN IN ROME...

We encouraged our audiences to tune into the Ryder Cup by showcasing the course ahead of the event, capturing and delivering exclusive content that generated huge reach across our owned and operated platforms, plus the social channels of international cricket stars, and those of the Ryder Cup and PGA.

We took a full crew to Rome and were joined by four athletes: England captain Ben Stokes, vice-captain Ollie Pope, World Cup winner Liam Livingstone and cricket legend Sir Alistair Cook.

Long-form, mid-form and short-form content was created around a wide-ranging shoot, which included the four cricket stars playing the Marco Simone course and taking part in challenges such as the longest drive - including a 'Happy Gilmore' attempt - and an unusual par-three test in which the athletes had to use a club selected by an opponent.

The athletes also toured the Marco Simone venue and spoke about the upcoming Ryder Cup battle between Europe and the United States.
