We partnered with LEON, a premier gaming and casino brand in India, to help them connect with a huge Indian audience, which in turn drove uptake of their offering.
Athletes do not work directly with gaming brands but, by virtue of our partnership with 4CAST, LEON were able to associate with some of the biggest names in world cricket and drive connection, engagement and activity from Indian cricket fans, giving them an edge in a crowded and competitive gaming market.
We achieved significant success in our first term with LEON - covering the 2023 Ashes series and the ICC 50-over World Cup - and this led to a renewed agreement to partner during the IPL and the T20 World Cup in 2024, plus the Champions Trophy in 2025.
Having agreed a host of deliverables around the partnership, we identified regular content opportunities to connect with fans across key events, leveraging the popularity of 4CAST's athletes among India's passionate fanbase - including Ben Stokes, KL Rahul and Jos Buttler.
Player-led video blogs - the LEON India Diaries - took fans behind the scenes at major tournaments and featured candid interviews with international stars.
Highlights included Stokes and Liam Livingstone giving fans an insight into their lives away from the pitch while on tour, Ollie Pope reflecting on his incredible innings of 196 in Hyderabad, Jason Roy opening up on his mental health struggles, and Jofra Archer speaking out about social media abuse.
This content was supplemented by regular on-the-ground fan footage, plus competitions to win meet-and-greet opportunities with cricket stars.
LEON also became our official Match Centre partner, affording them branding and engagement opportunities around a key section of the Athlete's Voice app.
